I was EXTREMELY skeptical about this product. So much so that I put off buying one for nearly a year because I didn’t think suction cups would be effective or safe. Boy was I wrong! With a big trip coming up where fuel was going to be a concern, I bit the bullet and bought the mount and a 3 gal rotopax. I gave my rig a proper bath and found a small section of panel on the tailgate where it would fit. Install was simple though finding the right place to mount took some time. After 2 days of testing around town, it was time to hit the road. From Dallas, TX I drove 6 hours to Merus Adventure Park outside Amarillo and drove Offroad for two days. And we’re talking proper offroading with moderate level trails, washes, steep hills, off camber, and corrugations. Then I went west to White Sands National Park in New Mexico, followed by an entire day exploring the Lincoln National Forest east of Alamogordo. Then I was off to explore the Guadalupe Mountains near Carlsbad. Finally it was back to Dallas. My rig got pushed hard for 5 days, Offroad and fast highway speeds. Rain, sun, dust, high winds… I cannot recommend highly enough. I’m likely going to get a second mount.

Very easy to put on and remove, extremely sturdy and well designed with durable materials. Works especially well for crossovers that don't have racks in place to hold fuel tanks.

I've had the RotopaX Tank Holder on my 4-door JK for about a month and they are holding on extremely well. Within that month they took a 3000 mile round trip from Central Ohio to Deadwood, South Dakota. During the trip they experienced: Interstate 70 across Indiana (IYKYK), extreme gusty head winds crossing South Dakota on Interstate 90, and moderate to heavy wheeling during the Black Hills Jeepers Jamboree. I am very happy with these mounts and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a simple solution to secure rotopaXs to your rig.
