    Preliminary Results

I have not received my Starlink antenna yet. So, I have not been able to fully test the product. However, I have attached the product to the lid of my Yeti and left the lid open so the SeaSucker is essentially “hanging”. It did not hold until I added a little water. Once I added water, is has not “given out” yet. Every three or four days it may require a 1/8 to a 1/4 press on the vacuum button. Nowhere close to showing the orange arming mark. Can’t wait to get the antenna in and give it atty for real. I intend to attach it to the top of the Yeti for inside the bed of my truck and then utilize the power outlet in the rear corner of the bed to power the Starlink.

    Revised Starlink mini-mount

I was a little disappointed that the wall mount configuration is fixed at 90* particularly considering the rear glass on my Ram truck is not vertically oriented. The result being the dish is pointed forward at a low angle, and I needed it to point downward to the rear because of localized conditions that are no fault of Seasucker.

So I identified what needed to change, and changed it. I'm going to make one more piece just to increase range of motion but this is great for now.

To adjust the angle simply attach the upper Seasucker then move the lower sucker up or down to determine and lock the angle.

Here it is now, it works great I'll be happy to share my mods with you @Seasucker if you are interested drop me an email, it really does make a great mount fantastic.

    Great

Great so far but haven't traveled with it yet. One concern is the little bit of movement once you put the locking pins in. I imagine if I have it suction cupped on the roof I would aim the locked in portion to the front of my vehicle.

Exactly what I was looking for!

This Starlink mount is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. From unbox to putting my Starlink into it, took 2 minutes. The instructions are super clear. This mount is 100% worth the money. Once plunged to the window, it was rock solid and didn’t need to be messed with at all. When it was time to remove it, that was just as easy!

    It sucks! Haha

I have had it sucked up to my Peterbilt since I received the package. It works really well. Although the instructions could have been a little clearer but I got it figured it out.

FAQS

“Strong like bull.” 4.5” vacuum mounts have a rated pull strength of 120lbs, pulling straight out from center. Pull strength on a shear load, i.e. pulling from the side, will be less. 6” vacuum mounts are 210lbs rated. Obviously, putting multiple vacuum mounts on a single product multiplies the maximum holding power.

There’s no set time limit on our vacuum mounts. It depends in part on the surface you attach to, the condition of the vacuum mount, the load you put on it, and other factors. As for surfaces to attach to, vacuum mounts in general were designed to carry big sheets of glass and other solid surface materials, so smoother, flatter surfaces are ideal. Clean surfaces and clean SeaSuckers go a long way to maximizing the hold time. In any event, if the vacuum mount begins to lose some vacuum, it will warn you so you can get it back to full power before it comes off. The vacuum pump’s plunger will extend from the pump cylinder when it starts to lose power, revealing an orange indicator band. Once you see orange, that’s your cue to repump your SeaSucker. For car racks, the simplest thing to do is to check the rack before you get in your vehicle, and check it each time you stop for gas, food, or the bathroom.

Clean off any surface dirt from the mounting surface before attaching your SeaSucker. While you’re at it, make sure the sealing edge of the vacuum pad is clean too. You don’t have to clean the mounting surface with alcohol wipes, as one overly-enthusiastic customer told us they do, but a quick wipe with a wet paper towel or napkin wouldn’t hurt. Let us make it easy for you: get one of our Cleaning Kits.

No, the HDPE and the raw materials we use to manufacture our vacuum mounts all have a high-performance UV inhibitor built in. Your SeaSucker products should look good for years.
