I live in Socal and hate installing/removing crossbars on the car, since I don't want to drive around with them on the vehicle. The SeaSucker ski rack was super convenient to use. It's not a very sophisticated product in the sense that it's just a couple of Delrin (plastic) plates that are machined and bolted together; in comparison to an aluminum extrusion by yakima or thule ski rack, with locks and slides etc. Just like all SS products make sure the installation surface and suction pads are clean and positioned on the vehicle appropriately, it is probably the most critical aspect for this product. I highly recommend a local test drive to dial in your setup. It's a little nerve racking with two boards on top of the vehicle, but trust the process. I can assure you that there was no problem with anything at 110+ mph with crosswinds. I left the ski racks on the vehicle throughout my stay in the mountains with snow and freezing temperatures, suction held the entire time. I did check and pump/maintain the pressure anytime I went out to the vehicle or got gas. All in all 4…
