Rear wheel strap for DIY RTT bike rack

The compact rear wheel strap is the perfect solution for my DIY rooftop tent, bike rack. Works as advertised, and suction plunger couldn’t be easier to operate. Holds up well with bumps and highway speeds. Check Gator Overland YouTube channel for install

    Pretty good

Solid suction cup mount. Not sure why you lose the wheel cup when you go down to this smaller size though.

    seat holder

I actually use it to secure the bike seat so that it does not rub against the hatch of my car

    Just what I needed

I had wanted to place the rear mount point on my spoiler and the one that came with the Talon was a bit too snug fitting. It worked, but made me worry that it would lose suction due to a small leak. I started wondering if SeaSucker had a smaller version and voila, they did. I was able to swap out the flat mount to the tire grooved one that came with my Talon and it works exactly how I wanted it to. As the rear one is really more for stability, I'm not worried it's going to not be strong enough for my purposes. Love it!

    Hey David,

The 4.5" is plenty strong to hold the rear wheel. However the larger diameter mount allows customers to place it in more locations. Due to it's larger size, it can be used on flimsier surfaces, as the larger diameter deflects more impact, preventing damage to even the thinnest of rooflines.
