Madison Kelly - Professional Cyclist

“Growing up, Madison Kelly was an avid equestrian and always on the move with different hobbies including surfing, SCUBA diving, skydiving, and running. She started cycling summer of 2014 and racing January 2015. Shortly after she started racing as a cat 4, she won the FL state crit championship and rose through the ranks, winning nearly every Florida race she entered in 2015, to eventually cat up to 2 by June and to cat 1 by September. After she graduated Eckerd College with a B.S. in Marine Science, she spent the summer racing Pro 1/2 races alone out of state such as Tour of America’s Dairyland, Boston Mayor’s Cup, Gateway Cup with solid results.

Then in 2016 she and a few other women formed their own small team which grew to become what it is now, the Papa John's Racing team p/b TREK! She has seen 26 podiums in 2017 in the pro/1/2 field including winning both the Indy and Mass Ave criteriums. Now a 3x Collegiate National Champion, the experience she acquired racing solo and with the team the past two years in the bigger pro 1/2 races around the country was extremely valuable and she is excited to have the opportunity to race with the team for yet another year! As well as racing with for Papa John's, she is currently working on her thesis in Biomedical Science at Marian University in Indianapolis and will graduate in the summer of 2018.”
